Neighborhoods Associations
Barelas Neighborhood Association
The Barelas Neighborhood Association represents a community that has
existed since Governor Diego do PeŇalosa charged a group of settlers
to set up a community here in 1662. The historic neighborhood is also
home to two of Albuquerque’s newest landmarks, The Albuquerque
Hispano Chamber Of Commerce, and The National Hispanic Cultural Center

Broadway + Central Corridor
Partnership
The Broadway + Central Corridor Partnership represents EDo
(East Downtown). It covers an area that meets Broadway on the
west, I-25 on the east, Central on the south and Martin Luther
King Avenue on the north. EDo continues to undergo a rapid
rebirth that began with the stunning restoration of Old
Albuquerque High School.
Downtown Neighborhoods
Association (DNA)
Founded in 1973, the Downtown Neighborhoods Association is the
oldest community organization in the city. DNA is a highly
organized association with a very active president and board of
directors, . It advocates for community friendly zoning, schooling
and safety policies. In the late 1970’s DNA led support for Lew
Wallace Elementary in an effort that saved that school from closing.
DNA also puts on neighborhood events like chile and pumpkin-carving
contests. Since DNA’s inception more than 300 other groups have
emerged to become the DNA of change in their communities.

Huning Castle Neighborhood Association
The Huning Castle Neighborhood Association extends from the northern
boundary of the Albuquerque Country Club to Alcalde drive on the south,
with Tingley Drive on the west and 14th street on the east.
This beautiful neighborhood includes the Albuquerque Country Club
and Tingley Beach, and hosts stops on the annual Luminaria Tour.

Huning Highland
Neighborhood Association
The Huning Highland Neighborhood Association covers the Huning
Highland Neighborhood which boarders the Broadway+ Central
Corridor Partnership. It covers an area that extends to Grand
in the north, Gold in the south, the railroad in the west,
and Broadway in the East.
Raynolds Addition Neighborhood
Association
The Raynolds Addition Neighborhood Association extends to Kent
on the North, Coal on the South, 13th street on the west, and
8th street on the east.
Sawmill Community Land Trust
The Sawmill Community Land Trust is a private non-profit corporation
(501c3) created to acquire and hold land for the benefit of the
community and provide secure affordable access to land, housing
and jobs for community residents. Located in the Sawmill neighborhood,
SCLT serves the Albuquerque metropolitan area residents who are
least served by the prevailing market.

Wells Park Neighborhood
Association
The Wells Park Neighborhood Association is one of Albuquerque’s
oldest and most active neighborhood associations. The association
serves the West Park Neighborhood, which is boarded by I-40 on the
north, Mountain on the south, Commercial on the east, and 17th
street on the west. It contains the home of five-time World Boxing
Champion Johnny Tapia.
