GO! Downtown Albuquerque Arts Festival on Gold Avenue, September 26-28 2008

Entertainment

Along with the outdoor exhibition we also provide an array of ongoing activities. Read on for details!

Beer Garden

Go! Arts celebrates our first Beer Garden this year, and we hope you'll join us for a few pints. The brewers from Marble Brewing will be serving local refreshment at 4th St. in a surprisingly shady space. There will be a Beer Coaster Art workshop Friday night with local illustrator Chris McAfee and Local iQ magazine hosts their popular Mixology networking event on Saturday.

Premier and VIP Reception (Ticketed Event)

This year we have asked each of our artists to place one work of their choosing in the gallery at 105 Studios (4th between Gold and Central). Enjoy live music, light fare and featured wines as you preview the art that can be found throughout the festival.

Friday, September 26th, 6 to 8 PM.

SkyLimit Music- pre-cleared, original music for television, radio, web, gaming, and professional & student films

Music

Go! Arts loves our musicians, dancers, and performance-based artists. Over 300 performers will fill the streets this weekend, from belly dancers to bluegrass bands to performance poets, even clowns and circus acts. It's like a five-block carnival. Come out and smile more.

Kids "Go! Wild" Zone

GO! Wild is a safe, enclosed area for families, with art, activities, entertainment, and safety education just for kids. Activities include art projects taught by local artists, like clay, painting, chalk drawing, and beading. The Albuquerque Zoo, Aquarium, and Biopark Gardens have interactive, educational children's programs that GO! Arts hopes to have involved with the GO! Wild kids area. We hope that your experience in the Go! Wild Zone leaves you with a growing impression of Downtown as a destination the whole family can enjoy.
